How is the Trust funded?

Postcode Earth Trust operates its own society lottery and is entirely funded by the players of People’s Postcode Lottery. As more players join People's Postcode Lottery, more funds are distributed to Postcode Earth Trust and made available for the Trust to award to good causes. How is the Trust regulated?

Postcode Earth Trust is a charity registered in Scotland (SC045749) and is a company limited by guarantee (SC510917). Postcode Earth Trust is regulated by the Gambling Commission under certificate 000-043064-N-322116 and 000-043064-R-322115.

How do I apply for funding from the Trust?

Postcode Earth Trust is unable to consider unsolicited applications as it operates on a closed application basis. Postcode Earth Trust is proactive in approaching charities and, as funds become available, will thoroughly research and select potential beneficiaries.

Which charities and good causes has the Trust funded?

Since Postcode Earth Trust was established in 2015, it has provided funding to and supported the following charities: Friends of the Earth Scotland, Friends of the Earth UK, National Trust, National Trust for Scotland, Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh, Royal Botanic Gardens Kew, Science Museum Group and Yorkshire Dales Millennium Trust. All decisions regarding funding are made by Postcode Earth Trust’s Trustees.

I've been awarded a grant - what next?

If you have been lucky enough to receive funding from Postcode Earth Trust, you will be expected to provide twice-yearly progress reports and work with our Communications team to publicise our relationship. For more information, contact info@postcodeearthtrust.org.uk.
